Fall Tablescapes with Unique Colors

Autumn Table DecorJust because it is Fall and Halloween has just passed does not mean orange is your only color option to fully appreciate the season. We have been more focused on couplings of colors that evoke soft yet bold statements. Pairing muted colors with deep rich jewel tones will really make your table stand out and neutral tones will bring out the earthiness of the season. Check out some of what we feel are this seasons standouts and how stunning your table can be!

Autumn Table DecorShades of lavender, plum and eggplant are a very pretty palette that evokes romance. To avoid looking too much like a wedding, there must be a balance between the shades, with the darker tones taking on a more prevalent role. To ground these colors and add a rustic feel, pewter utensils and accent pieces would mute the richness of the purple. A perfect example is the beautiful tablescape from Decoist pictured above. The pumpkins add a nice pop to the elegant purple décor.

Autumn Table DecorFor a more traditional twist, feature cranberry, dusty blue and brown at your table. The stunning dinner party photo from Hostess with the Mostess, features beautiful details that make this simple palette gorgeous. Hand dyed napkins and colored glass goblets complement the matte flower vases. Centerpieces were lush with rich color and produce that were meant to look a bit undone to evoke a more casual tone.

Autumn Table DecorUnderstated elegance can be achieved with an all neutral color palette for your table this Fall. To avoid evoking a more Christmas feel, add bits of brown and amber to soften the starkness of the ivory and cream landscape. The table featured on The Turquoise Home from Craftberry Bush is a perfect example of how chic and sophisticated a neutral palette can be. The beautiful off white pumpkins and gourds are off set by sprigs of rosemary. I would add some small wheat stalks tied with satin bows to this centerpiece instead of the pinecones to tone down the wintry feel. The sheet music as placemats and the unmatching white plates are simply divine.

Autumn Table DecorThe color Emerald is often overlooked for Fall and considered a more wintry shade. However, when paired with tones of ivory it can be reminiscent of a mountain landscape before the snow season comes upon us. The deep green is perfectly offset by the warm ivory and to elevate the palette, add accent pieces such as utensils and chargers in gold, as pictured above from Style Me Pretty.

Autumn Table DecorWho doesn’t love a summer event with cheerful peach tones and bright green accents? However, those colors can be utilized as a more neutral palette with toned down shades for the Fall. Pairing a muted peach and green centerpiece with ivory and café au lait colors, along with colored tree branches will change the landscape from summer to Fall. The photo from Hey Wedding Lady pictured above is a simply stunning example.
